Beijing 2008 Olympics Closing Ceremony

•August 25, 2008 • Leave a Comment

What a grand closure to the Beijing 2008 Olympics. China has certainly announced it’s arrival on to the world stage as a superpower by showcasing possibly the greatest and grandiose event. It would not be a surprise if the fireworks, man resources and the high tech gadgets used all end up in the Guiness Book of Records.

Kudos to a show well done! Perhaps it’s time to bid for the World Cup… ;-)

For those missed and/or would like to recap the closing ceremony, you can find the video at this link.

Crazy Korean table tennis (Beijing Olympics 2008)

•August 14, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Time and time again, the Koreans have served up some crazy defensive plays to frustrate their opponents. Check out this crazy rally between HIRANO Sayaka (Jap) and KIM Kyung Ah (Kor) . The Koreans won 3-0 and moved on to the semi-finals.

NB: KIM beat Li Jia Wei of Singapore both in Athens 2004 (finals) and Beijing 2008 (semis)!
